    TORONTO

    FASHION DISTRICT

The Fashion District is known for formerly being home to fashion clothing manufacturers and retailers in an efficient locale. Very few have remained and most of the region is re purposed for upscale restaurants and lounges, while the rest is former retail-office and residential real estate and new condominium projects. The area may seem to be modernized but still maintains the historic culture and building architecture in most areas. The Fashion District is surrounded by TTC transit access, multiple lifestyle venues and The King West neighbourhood while adjacent to the entertainment district making accessibility and amenities in the neighbourhood seamless.

A Spotlight On Toronto’s Fashion District

Bordered on the north by Queen West and Chinatown, on the east by the Entertainment District, on the south by CityPlace and on the west by Niagara, Toronto’s Fashion District is known for its entertainment and nightlife amenities and astounding choice of both high street retailers and international designer brands. The neighborhood is centered along Queen Street running from University Avenue to Bathurst Street. If you’re looking to buy, the Fashion District is a hugely desirable and affluent residential area popular for its location, amenities and numerous condominium options.

Perhaps one of the main attractions of the Fashion District is that it is excellently placed for Downtown Toronto. The area is also serviced by plenty of buses, streetcar lines and subways that are handy for commuters. The Queen streetcar, for example, runs through the neighborhood while Osgoode Station on the Yonge–University line is located at the eastern end of the neighborhood. This makes the standard of living in the area exceptionally high. Other local amenities include a number of excellent independent and public schools and a good mix of supermarkets, restaurants, bars, shops, and cafes.

Other notable attractions in and around Toronto’s Fashion District include Campbell House- a historic house in downtown Toronto, Osgoode Hall- another landmark building in downtown Toronto and Canada Life Building while the Scotiabank Theatre (formerly Paramount Theatre Toronto) owned by Cineplex Entertainment lies in the immediate vicinity as well as many popular nightlife and entertainment venues.

And finally, property in the Fashion District is steeply skewed in favor of chic lofts and condominiums designed for urban and cosmopolitan living. Imagine living in a landmark building in a vibrant and exciting neighborhood that’s pulsating with life at every corner. This is what living in the Fashion District is all about! If you’re looking to set up residence in Downtown Toronto, the Fashion District is an area worth considering. The condo developments here are designed for a lifestyle that incorporates activity, relaxation, and fun with some of the best amenity facilities the city has to offer.

In short, Toronto’s Fashion District has a unique character and chic culture attached to it with some phenomenal attractions. Unsurprisingly, demand for property here is high.
